What to know about the Altitude Connect
Points are earned at 1X on every eligible purchase plus bonus points: 4X on purchases made directly with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, taxis, limousines, passenger trains and cruise lines, 4X at gas stations and EV charging stations on the first $1,000 each quarter, and 2X on dining, grocery stores and qualifying streaming services 2. Wholesale clubs and discount stores such as Target and Walmart earn 1X, and prepaid bookings in the Travel Center earn 5X but do not also count as travel-category purchases 2. Points have their maximum value when redeemed as a deposit into an eligible U.S. Bank account or for travel, and they expire after 12 consecutive statement cycles with no reward, purchase or balance activity 2.
The Priority Pass Select membership has to be activated at prioritypass.com/usbankaltitudeconnect, and only one cardholder per account can be enrolled without a membership fee 4. The 4 free visits per membership year are shared with guests: each guest visit uses one, and later visits are charged to the card 4. SmartDelay is separate and gives lounge access when a registered flight is delayed more than 2 hours; the flight has to be registered at least 2 hours before departure 3.
Trip cancellation and interruption pays up to $2,000 per insured person for non-refundable common carrier fares, but only when the entire cost of the trip is charged to the card or its rewards 4. Trip delay reimbursement pays up to $300 per ticket after a delay of more than 12 hours from a covered hazard such as equipment failure or weather, and only part of the fare has to be paid with the card 4. The Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit is up to $100 once every 4 years 4. Neither the guide nor the Benefits Center lists auto rental collision coverage, purchase protection, extended warranty or cell phone protection for this card 43.
