What to know about Chase cards

The Chase-branded lineup falls into three families: the Freedom cash back cards (Flex, Unlimited and Rise), the Sapphire travel cards (Preferred and Reserve) and the Slate cards (Slate and Slate Edge) 1. Two of them are presented for credit building: Freedom Rise as a card to establish credit, and Slate Edge as a way to help improve a credit score 1. Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Student still appear in the shared Freedom Guide to Benefits but are not in the catalog 19.

Sapphire and Freedom cards share the Chase Ultimate Rewards program, and Freedom cash back is tracked as points, with each $1 equal to 100 points, and points are worth 1 cent each when redeemed for cash, gift cards or travel 54. Points can be moved to another Ultimate Rewards card belonging to the cardholder or one household member, and Sapphire cardholders can transfer points to participating frequent travel programs 4.

Chase says the Guide to Benefits is provided after account opening, and each product page links a PDF copy 6. Claims and benefit questions go through chasecardbenefits.com or the benefit administrator number printed in each guide: 1-800-350-1362 for Sapphire Preferred, 1-800-350-1697 for Sapphire Reserve, 1-800-349-2691 for the Freedom cards and 1-800-350-1798 for Slate and Slate Edge 78910. From outside the U.S. the guides give collect numbers, 001-214-503-2954 for Sapphire Reserve and 001-214-503-2951 for the others 89.

The card terms name the issuer as JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase & Co. 3. On January 7, 2026, Apple and Chase announced that Chase will become the issuer of Apple Card, with the transition expected in approximately 24 months; Apple Card is still issued by Goldman Sachs Bank USA and is not in Chase's catalog, so it is not covered here 21.
