What to know about the Travel Rewards

All net purchases earn 1.5 points per $1 with no cap 2. Bookings made through the Travel Center earn 3 points per $1, made up of 1.5 bonus points and 1.5 base points, again with no limit 2.

A travel credit, applied as a statement credit to offset travel and dining purchases from the previous 12 months, values each point at $0.01, so 2,500 points cover $25 2. Redeeming for cash values each point at $0.006, so the same 2,500 points pay $15 2. Travel credits and cash redemptions start at 2,500 points, and gift cards at 3,125 points 2. Points do not expire while the account remains open with active charging privileges 2.

Purchases in a foreign currency carry no fee, which matters for a card meant for travel 2. BofA Rewards, the relationship program that replaced Preferred Rewards on or about May 26, 2026, can add a 10%, 25%, 50% or 75% bonus to points on eligible cards, depending on tier 73. Membership requires an eligible Bank of America checking account 4.

The issuer names two protections for the card: the $0 Liability Guarantee for unauthorized transactions and FICO Score access for primary cardholders 25. Its terms say other benefit details accompany new account materials 2.
