What to know about the Venture X

The 10X and 5X rates apply only to bookings made through Capital One Travel; hotel incidentals and upgrades charged outside the portal earn the standard 2 miles per $1 2. The $300 credit also works only in the portal: it can be split across bookings, earns no miles and expires on the next account open date anniversary 2. Miles redeem for travel at 100 miles per $1 of cost, either through Capital One Travel or against travel purchases from the last 90 days, and can be transferred to 15+ travel loyalty programs 21.

Capital One's lounge terms, last updated July 8, 2026, give complimentary access to Capital One Lounges and Landings, and to participating Priority Pass lounges after enrollment, to the primary cardholder only 4. Lounge access for each additional cardholder costs $125 a year 4. Free guests (2 at Capital One Lounges, 1 at Landings) require $75,000 in purchases on the account in a calendar year and do not extend to Priority Pass, where guest passes cost $35 per visit 4.

Insurance terms come from the Visa Infinite guide Capital One links, which describes benefits in effect as of 10/01/21 3. Rental car collision coverage is primary, for vehicles with an MSRP up to $75,000 and rentals of up to 15 days in your country of residence or 31 days outside it, paid entirely with the card 3. Cell phone protection pays up to $800 per claim after a $50 deductible, with 2 claims and $1,600 per 12 months, only if the wireless bill for the prior billing cycle was charged to the card 3.

The Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit of up to $120 posts once per account every 4 years when the fee is paid with the card, not through PayPal 5. Hertz President's Circle status requires enrollment through the Benefits tab in Capital One's website or app 5.
